gouda

It's been a rough little while.
still is.
I guess something i need to add to the dreariness, though,
is that i know i'm blessed with some of the best friends anyone has ever had.
And i can't always return that favor, whether it's distance, time, or just my
messed-up head getting in the way, but you/they mean the world to me.
I've also had the pleasure of crossing paths with some of those same people
in different times, different places, and haven't been able to hold on..
or have purposely stepped away.
a lot of those people have been on my mind lately too.
We may not talk often, or ever, and in-person time is rarer still now that
school, work, band, significant other, trying to find time for me, and depression have absorbed me.
Some people i consider friends may not even know it.
Some i keep at arms-length on purpose - not because i fear rejection, but because i fear
rejecting.
Without the people around me, past and present, i wouldn't be who i am today.
and while being me may not be the greatest thing ever, it is what it is, and if i'm
happy with anything in this world, it's that i can be myself.

So thanks.

your pal,
Swiss

I feel lucky to be included in this number. I'm glad to have gotten to know you this last couple of years.

We should still run away from life and go to Europe. We can find me some fantastic Irish guy that will pamper me for the rest of my life. :)

Yep. That pretty much sums it up.

Really though, I'm glad to know you.

i'm glad i know you :) and hope i'm considered a friend...based on the short amount of face time we've had together...and the dwindling amount of e-time we've had in the last year or so.
